Overview

Tailgate Talks (also known as Toolbox Talks) are short, focused safety meetings designed to reinforce field safety, productivity, and knowledge. Greenius provides supervisors and crew leaders with a library of 100+ topics—perfect for daily, weekly, or monthly safety meetings.

⚠️ Note: Tailgate Talks are not connected to course-based training and can be conducted at any time, regardless of course progress.

Best Practices for Tailgate Talks

Aim to conduct at least one safety meeting per month.
Pre-plan topics and post a schedule for visibility.
Make safety talks a consistent part of your routine - even during busy seasons.

Using your cell phone or tablet, log into Greenius as a Crew Leader (gold)
Once you're logged in, scroll all the way to the bottom and tap on the the TAILGATE TALKS box
Choose a language (English or Spanish)
Search for an select a Tailgate Talk from the list

Tap the name of each Crew Member attending the Tailgate Talk
Once all names are selected, scroll all the way to the bottom and tap the Continue button
When you are ready to start the Tailgate Talk, tap the Start Tailgate button.
💡If a crew member was selected on accident or is now unable to attend the Tailgate talk, you can deselect them from this CONFIRM EMPLOYEE page by tapping the red button next to the crew member's name.

As you talk through Discussion points, check them off as you go by tapping on the box next to each point.
When you are finished with each Discussion point, click the NEXT >> button.
Continue clicking each box as you work though the tailgate talk, click NEXT >> for each section until you've reached the end.

Once you have reached the end, you (the supervisor) will be prompted to sign your name (with your finger) indicating that everyone listed above was present for this Tailgate Talk safety meeting.
Click the I accept. button to lock in Tailgate Talk completion.
💡The record of this Tailgate talk will be stored in Greenius.
Select YES or NO if you would like to start a new Tailgate Talk.
